Today we faced East Durham Blue Belles at our home ground. The weather had been bad so the pitch was rather cut up, wet and heavy so it was certainly going to be a messy game.
The game couldn't of started better for us taking the upper hand within seconds of kick off and applying constant pressure to our opponents. The first goal of the game from a terrific cross played in by Scott finished lovely by Richardson. The following 20 minutes of play saw another 4 goals scored three from brilliant striker Scott and the other from creative player Murray.
In the 27th minute of the game East Durham Ladies played a ball across the top of our defence finding their striker who was one on one with our keeper and managed to net for her team. The team reacted brilliantly netting another two goals before the half time break both finished by Scott putting her onto her 5th goal of the game.
The team had a well earned break and went back out for the second half. This was another half showing an array of excellent finished goals. Scott bagged herself another 4 goals totalling a massive 9 goals. Fairbairn and Armstrong also made the score sheet.
A game full of great football and a huge range of excellent goals.
Player of the match was awarded to Armstrong for her brilliant work rate from start to finish and a new found positive attitude that I hope she keeps.
Well done Ladies.
