Today we played our last home game of the season to Hartlepool Pools Youths ladies.

We got off to a great start seeing our first goal of the game scored in the 4th minute of play. It was a superb run with the ball from striker Mel crossed into the box seeing winger Charlene race in and send it into the bottom right corner of the goal.

In the 25th minute of play some superb team play saw the ball played into centre half Jodi who travelled into the centre of the pitch and played a superb pass out onto the left of the pitch to centre midfielder Ellen. Ellen very composed on the ball travelled into the box and beat the keeper with a superb effort.

In the 72nd minute of play winger Ava raced in to pick up a loose ball beating the full back and putting a superb cross into the box. Striker Mel got on the end of the end and sent it crashing into the bottom left corner of the goal.

The remainder of the game saw some fantastic team play but without any other rewards of a goal seeing the match end 3-0 & a second place finish secured. Massive well done to the team for this.

Player of the match was awarded to our long serving player Fairy for her fantastic performance over the course of the game. She was calm and composed on the game creating some excellent chances at goal and even being unfortunate to not get on the score sheet herself. Well done Fairy.
